Are all 1418 iMac display compatible? Can I mount a 2013 in a 2017?

I have a broken display on a 2017 iMac and I’m looking for used dead iMac 1418 model

Are all LCD compatible ? Can they swap LCDs ?

There are two versions of the A1418 The non-retina (1920 x 1080) version and the Retina 4K (4096 x 2304) version.

So if you have the 4k model you’ll need the 4k display your system uses: iMac 21.5" Retina 4K Display, Apple P/N 661-07322, LG Display: LM215UH (SD)(B1)

If you have the non-retina model then you need this display: iMac 21.5" LCD Display, Apple P/N 661-07321

There are enough differences within the display you don’t want to use anything other than the correct part.

Ok, given I want to change a 1920 x 1080 with a 1920 x 1080

can I safely buy a dead 2013 iMac (or any of the a1418 models) and swap the LCDs with an "end 2017" model (currently still sold on the Apple store) ?

Sorry no, Apple altered enough things that the 2013 display is not compatible with your 2017 model.
