iPhone 8 Home Button not working after battery replacement

Hello! I just repaired an iPhone 8 battery. Once I put the screen back on, the home button wasn’t working. It vibrates when I touch it and Touch ID works. I have not finished battery calibration. I checked the flex cables and they’re all clean and I did not nick a cable when opening the phone. What could be wrong? Thank you for the help.
