I have managed to solve the issue but won't remove this question in case someone else is experiencing similar problems. This is what I have done that has worked for me (1) Make sure display connector is clean and installed correctly (2) Force restart phone (3) Update IOS through settings (17.1.2, Apple said this will patch this issue) (4) Try updating to public beta patch if regular does not work (5) Enter DPU mode and restore phone through itunes (My restore didn't want to download IOS firmware so I downloaded latest firmware from 3utools (17.1.2 in this case). Left click on restore whilst holding shift on itunes to open folder with system file. Continue with process. (6) Flash phone (Only as a last resort and at your own risk) I used 3utools Always back up the device if you have important files/data before attempting What worked for me in the end was the DFU itunes restore with the 3utools firmware, which booted with the same problem. I then tested a few displays on the phone (all which gave the same...
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0I can confirm that the third party housing was the issue. NFC problems fixed with replacement housing 🙂
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0It’s hard to tell what the problem is as there could be many issues. Things that I would do is check/ replace: Battery and charging port. If they are good then make sure that the phone is not water damaged, you don’t need to put the phone in water for water to get in. Steam can also water damage your phone if its not sealed well. Without having the phone power on you wont be able to get the data only from the SIM if you have one in. Last options would be to transplant your motherboard into another phone and see if that works.
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0Hi yes, the microphone is replaceable however I believe you need to desolder and solder a new one on. If you want to replace the whole front assembly then Face ID will no longer function. If I remember correctly only swapping out the microphone won’t affect Face ID.
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0I was able to confirm that the NFC worked by ordering an NFC tag. I used my Samsung to program the tag (which can be anything) to open the ifixit page. I then touched the tag to the top of the iPhone and it worked. I noticed that the NFC is not in the wireless charging coil as when I put the tag there it doesn’t pick up.
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0I know that this program can reset your iPod, you just need to connect it. https://www.imyfone.com/iphone-data-recovery/
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0Have a look around, I know that you can get original refurbished screens on eBay, I know there are businesses in the US that do refurbished screens as well
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0Try reconnecting the cables again and make sure that the connections are clean
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0I just call it the bottom grounding bracket flex. I have attached an eBay listing of one hopefully that was a pointer in the right direction https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Appel-iPhone-X-bottom-bracket-with-flex/202810936794?hash=item2f38794dda:g:...--v
crwdns2916904:0crwdne2916904:0Im pretty sure that you can replace anything from the face ID unit event the ear speaker bit because Apple has tied it all together and the only way to get it repaired is to go to Apple at this moment in time. If someone can confirm this that would be good as I’m not 100% sure.

Yes, I agree with Alex, I have just cut through the glue that is around the frame and then tried to pry the screen up but was never aware that the screen is glued to the entire phone underneath. Caused the screen to crack and doesn’t work anymore. It should be clear that the screen is completely glued down.
