Bright white line through phone display.

I was listening to music with my headphones in and my dog ran past me and yanked the cord out of my phone. After that there is a bright white line going through my phone. It almost seems like it dimmed the rest of the phone.

I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what this could be. Hopefully the entire display isn't broken. I doubt it would be an easy fix but I'm just hoping it's not awful.

I have the same problem after replacing my lcd with a brand new one. It was a diy job but everything went smooth untill it turned on and I have this thick white line on left side of screen, mine is has two smaller green/white lines to the left of the thicker white one as well.

I have seen this before could be some pressure on the lcd so try to see if you have any dents on it somewhere and see if touching it in certain places makes it worse or better.

If not then the lcd is damaged and would eventually need replacement.

I can't see the images for some reason but it has happened to me before except with a broken display. I had dropped it on a sharp pointy object and it gave me a "bullet hole" looking crack. The bottom 4cm of the screen went white. It is definitely something to do with the lcds so a screen replacement may not even fix it.
