How to test power supply using a multimeter

This mac mini does not power on. Its dead. I have disconected every single cable to ensure that is no affecting it.

So, I want to see if I can meassure the power supply using a multimeter but I don´t know how.

How to setup the multimeter (i have been using it only for batteries), what connectors, etc.

Thank you

Troubleshooting switch mode power supplies (and other types) is not really recommended for learning how to start using a multimeter. You need to do some serious reading and hands on experience of basic dc circuits before attempting diving into power supplies, imho. Here's some reading on the subject http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/smpsfaq.htm but pay very very close attention to the opening paragraph:

"Careless troubleshooting of a line powered switchmode power supply can result in severe electrical shock or electrocution. This is potentially more lethal than the high voltage section of a TV or monitor due to the high current availability. Even the charged on the main filter capacitors with the unit unplugged can kill. Hi prop man, yes I know. I´m not going to take any risk if I´m not sure. Thank you very much for your advise.

@macpatagon okay so you need to start off by knowing which pin is what etc. Use the information provided on here and download the technician guide from here Do that before it disappears. Then use your multimeter in DC mode and measure the pins according to the voltages listed. No reason to tear it apart or anything (yet). It’s best to test it with your Mac Mini put together and measure the pins while connected. Make sure that your power button actually turns on your power supply. If not the first link will tell you how to “hack it” so that you can turn it on independently.
