@macpatagon okay so you need to start off by knowing whic pin is what etc. Use the information provided [http://www.blisstonia.com/eolson/notes/kensingtonmacmini.php|on here] and download the technician guide [http://tim.id.au/laptops/apple/macmini/mac_mini_mid_2010.pdf|from here] Do that before it disappears. Then use your multimeter in DC mode and measure the pins according to the voltages listed. No reason to tear it apart or anything (yet). It’s best to test it with your Mac Mini put together and measure the pins while connected. Make sure that your power button actually turns on your power supply. If not the first link will tell you how to “hack it” so that you can turn it on independently.
