Upgrade my MacBook Pro 13"

Good day all

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7.

Can anyone tell me if the 2012 or 2013 motherboard will fit in the case because the case is still good as new.

Key here is model A1278 that was manufactured from 2011 until late 2016. Any of those boards will fit your 2011 i7 Mac, but at this stage I’d recommend sticking to i5 or i7 mid 2012 or later as they’re Mac Os Mojave and if I understood right Catalina too next fall. Forget about any A1425 or A1502 from 2012/2013, they are retina Macbooks that are not compatible with yours.

My MacBook Pro is a i7 late 2011 and it only handles os Hi Sierra. I want to change the motherboard to a MacBook Pro i7 2012. Will this work for me?
