spreadsheet formula / macro

Did you try posting your question on the Microsoft Support site?

We are more into hardware than applications.

I don't think this is possible, I've done date and time stamps and thats it. I can't see a reason to do this, how about explaining why you need to do this.

thought i would ask here first as i prefer the general community on this site..

i would love to explain my reasons but its a potential short term money maker.

i suppose i was just wanting to know if it was possible in excel as it would make the rest of my idea simple.
