Keyboard
I have an original A1237, 1.8MHz Air with 64GB SSD on which I have to change the US keyboard (damaged). I have a Spanish replacement keyboard. How to find out if it can be substituted?
Thanks,
Paul

Can you still contact the merchant where you ordered the keyboard? They would probably be able to confirm compatibility.

Without more information, you will just have to rely on trial and error. Let me know how it works out.
Michael,
I don't know how to create links here but go to your own post (Replacing the MacBook air keyboard) and you will find my reply.
Cheers,
Paul

Paul, one detail question. Did you manage to change the topcase bundled soldered with Keyboard (maybe not on this previous model) or only the keyboard ?

Update to my question (Jan 17):
A friend of a friend is involved in purchasing the keyboard, so it might be difficult to contact the merchant although I will try. Failing that, is there a way to find out its compatibility? I am not worried about the spanish characters, more about the fact that I will have to put the Air back together almost completely before I can find out if this keyboard is compatible. Though I don't think compatibility would be a factor as for other components... Thanks, Paul

It worked perfectly.
All instructions from the site were easy to follow and I had the Air up and running again in 2:20h. Not bad for a first timer, considering that the keyboard is the LAST thing to come off!
Thanks,
Paul

Paul, You refer to a site that had easy instructions on replacing the keyboard. What is the site? I presume you replace the enitre top case, right? My wife splled hot chocolate over hers and some keys are not working. Thx.

Michael, look at MacBook Air Models A1237 and A1304 Upper Case Replacement , it's all there and if you need any help, I'm willing (even though there are some far more experienced hands on this forum...).
Cheers,
Paul
