battery problems with my MacBook Pro

I got a problem I need to keep charging my computer the battery dies around 30 minutes but when it charges it takes quick second to fully charge?

Do I need a new battery ?

or something else is going on because I went to Apple Store it says the battery is in good condition.

It could be a weak charger or charging port. Before you do anything, you show check the maximum battery compacity.

Hold the Option key and click the Apple () menu. Choose System Information.

  1. Under the Hardware section of the System Information window, select Power. The current cycle count is listed under the BatteryInformation section.

If it says your max battery compacity is under 89%, looks like it’s time for a new battery. IF it’s above that you should be good. It’s gotta be something more internal with your Mac or it’s a bad charger.

@ianshalongo - I don't see enough information here to jump on to replacing the battery yet.

If you want to give John some guidance on the MagSafe charger as we have seen a fair amount of bad chargers (Fakes) or the charger is worn out (cable & connector).

I would review this Apple T/N Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters and this article OEM MagSafe Chargers vs Cheap Imposters: Teardown for Truth as well as review this vid YouTube - Real vs Fake MagSafe 2 Charger Macbook Pro

As @danj mentioned it would be advisable to download Coconut Battery, take a couple of screenshots with battery charging/discharging and add them to your original question. If the store said the battery is in good condition let's give them credit.. it would be a good idea to pinpoint the issue before possibly wasting money on a potentially useless battery replacement. Just 47 charging cycles indicate an almost new battery.
