Device and repair information for the Dell XPS 13 laptop models 9343 and 9350, which were both released in 2015.

How to unbend aluminum from on screen corner?

I dropped my laptop and the corner of the metal frame bent into the laptop and is slowly pulling the laptop apart.

You have to change the chassis. There isn’t really any other way

I just did this to my xps 13. The hinge could not open all the way. All I needed to fix it was to open the laptop slightly, wedge a smooth flathead screwdriver between the two metal covers (top/bottom) near where they contact and gently pry against the bent section to unbend it. The metal is VERY soft and did not take much effort. I used my forearm to push against the hinge to support it while I did this and there was no damage to the hinge.
