Help me to identify this transistor of my motherboard

I have an EVGA X58 SLI (132-BL-E758-E1) and I need help to indentify this transistor of my old MOBO.

It's something related to the system temp sensor, because this temp read its faulty.

You can see the transistor damaged under the “R40”text. I can read “2A R” but google dont help me.

The only way I see it to identify that board is to find someone who has this exact board and ask them to take a photo of that SMD-transistor. Usually in repair shops they do it like this: measure what’s what and where, take old one off MoBo, solder a similar one found by speculated specs and voila. Most of the time that works.

I searched google, there’s NEITHER BIG ENOUGH PICS NOR SCHEMATICS TO SEE SOMETHING THAT SMALL…

@keteflips old question and I am sure that by now you have this fixed :-) Anyhow, that transistor looks like a MMBT3906L Mot N 2N3906 in a SOT23 package
