@mdesai7482 if you have experience with board level repair you could trace your backlight circuit. If yo do not I suggest you contact those active users on here that do have the expertise and tools to do this for you. @tcrs_circuit in the USA @reecee in the UK and possibly even @refectio in Canada @arbaman in Sardinia (Italy) ;-) @rany in Lebanon and many others

Do you know where is the connector for the backlight?

@mdesai7482 I do not quite follow you with that. What kind of connector? What is on your mind....?

Sorry, I mean any connector that relates with backlight, through which it gets signals from motherboard.

i don't have diagram so trying to trace the circuit of backlight.

or clean that connector see what happens. otherwise apple gave me estimate of $450 to fix it.

Backlight failure other than the screen on these is rare. Fuse failures are almost non existent unless you plug the screen in with power. It is probably a LCD issue. Of course if you have obvious corrosion on the board, address that before blaming the LCD. I’d put my money on the LCD though.

Know this is old. But for future searchers.

Apple is offering a 5 year repair window on these, due to backlight cable wearing out prematurely. (apparently, just a little too short)

and for do it your selfers with skills who just missed the warranty period…
