I have the same problem. How do I open the Chromebook? Thank you.

Same here. I had it for less than a year and a new power cord doesn't fix it. I had to hold it in with my knees pushing it in all I can type. I say this is a waste of money because it was cheaply made and cannot be fixed. Will never buy again.

Nice to know I’m not alone. Still no fix.

For this model, you can buy and replace the charge port easily (assuming availability) since it's a cable based jack, not a soldered on jack.

EDIT: Label for the charge port has P4GCR on it. Typing P4GCR cable into a search engine will yield results.

if you mean the pin in the socket of the actual laptop then a new charger wont fix it, it will probably need a new charge port

Take off the back cover by removing the small Philips screws and gently pry off the back. Check the power connector, there are plastic tabs that hold it tight to the side of the case. They break easy so you need to tape it down with electrical tape or glue it in place.

The port is going to be loose, if you look at the port internally. It is not actually attached to anything inside and is held in by a clip, this is what causes it to be wobbly
