Only have half picture with new t-con board

So I just replaced the t-con board in my KDL-50W829B

Originally I had sound with no picture at all, replacing the t-con board gave me a fuzzy/yellowed image, I thought it might be the connections on the two ribbon cables so I unplugged one and I had a perfect picture on that side, the picture went wrong again.

Could this still be the connection (I've tried it several times) or could half the t-con board be dead? Is it possible that the input board for the panel is dead?

@mehmedibryam same as the original answer. The only difference is that you probably have a bad buffer board on your screen that corresponds to your right side.

@itxi

I am a bit confused. You unplugged one side and whatever side was left dispalyed perfect. This goes for both sides. What I mean is left connected right is not, left side displays perfect. Right side connected Left side is not, right side display perfect. If so then we at least know that your panel is okay. You do want to check the individual ribbon cables that go from the T-con board to the panel. Make sure there are no issues with the cables. Yes, this could be a T-con issue but I would not rule out a bad main board either.

Update (08/01/2018)

@itxi if the T-con board is truly okay than the issue is your panel. The panel has a driver board which is mounted to it and you would have to get to it first by pretty much removing the panel. (the 2 cables from the T-con board actually connect to that). That board is part of the panel and has something called source drive ICs that may have failed. Here couple of images that show t-con board errors.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

It's only one side that displays okay, the right side (looking front-on) is fine, but I lose the picture on both sides when I plug the left side in. Plugging just the left side in gets me lines and noise on the left.

Ribbon cables are fine, I checked the continuity on both of the cables on all the pins.

Apparently this t-con board is working, could the panel have caused a short or something on the t-con?
