1 Ps2 disc not spinning after installing new laser
Hey guys. My ps2 had an old laser, the games were running, but quite laggy. So I ordered a new lens for my console.
Today it finally arrived. I successfully replaced the old lens with the new one, but now when I power up the console, the disc doesn't spin. The laser moves to the place where it should start reading, but the disc isn't moving at all!
None of this happened with the old laser. I don't think that I broke something, because everything went smooth.
I tried to run the disc with console taken apart (having those two black sensors pushed down, so it would read the disc), but, as I said before, only the laser moves, zooms in and out and thats all. The disc doesnt move at all!
Any help is appreciated!
P.S. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but the console is modded with Matrix Infinity chip v1.99.

Is it possible that one of the cables could have become disconnected? I don't have a playstation2 but I have a Saturn which is also a disc based system. When replacing the laser did you also check for compatibility with your overall system configuration? (the mod chip will not affect this) Which dvd drive yours have? It is possible that it does not detect the laser as well.
