Kenwood Prospero KM260 runs 5 seconds, then smokes like B-Day candles!

When using my Kenwood Prospero KM260, it runs for few seconds, then stops, with burning smell and smoke coming out of the back for a while. It runs again after a while for few seconds etc.

I wonder what could the problem be, and now would I approach fixing it.
