Red light flashing 3 times. Won’t turn on.

Hello

If I press the post button on my OontZ Angle 3 I get a red light that flashes repetively in groups of three.

If I hold the power button down the speaker works (but the red light keeps flashing). As soon as I let go of the button the speaker dies.

I have tried charging with multiple cables.

I have tried to find the reset button through the auxiliary jack, but I don’t feel anything in there that feels like a button.

Any ideas?

@jytug71kv4zrzki, No, the paper clip isn't going to work because there's no reset switch hidden inside the input jack. Oontz itself offers instructions on how to reset the speaker.

First:

Resetting Your OontZ Angle 3

Note: The reset function only applies to speakers purchased after Sept 1, 2016

Step 1: Remove the Micro USB charging cable and 3.5mm Audio cable, if connected

Step 2: Press and hold down the Power button and + button together for 1 second, then release.

Step 3: The speaker has now been reset and can turn it on.

Note that the Angle 3 ULTRA has a different procedure; for that model you hold down the power button for 8 seconds.

I have the same problem, tried the reset steps (both of them) Speaker is still flashing red light in a 3x time pattern.

It will not charge. 😪

Same. I finally gave up and just bought a new one after all that frustration! Ugh! Disappointing bc I love this speaker!!!
