Sim Card not picking up mobile network. Possible software issue (Oreo)

After Oreo no data connection signal - two software repairs etc - no luck.

My sim works fine in other phones, and other sims dont work in the sony. My last resort is sending it for repair but is there anything else I can try at home?

This happened immediately after my phone restarted after the Oreo update, and there is no option to downgrade. Before that, nothing wrong with my signal or putting any sim card in the phone, as its unlocked to any network.

I bought it last April from sony on amazon

I also can't search for a mobile network manually... whenever I've pressed on it since nothing comes up it doesn't actually do anything anymore.

Same times when ther is a problem in component everything working fine and after update some process protocols recognize the problem and its will stop to work.

The only way to check is to replace the logic board.

Also at our lab i run into some customers that buy “new phone” in ebuy amazon and after I open the device found replaced parts inside refurbished phone and usually those phones with bad logic board.

Send it back to amazon they will replace the board or give you other phone.

Okay, but I bought it deffinatley from Sony as a selller, it's not second hand? It's looking like that's my only choice, just concered as been doing a lot of googling about this sort of error and it seems to happen alot - is it worth looking at a diff phone?

If the fault appears in many users then the problem is in the manufacture of the phone.

My advice to purchase a durable and reliable device, Apple htc are considered the best for the long time, if you expect that a phone that costs $ 300 will serve you for 5 years it will not happen.

Okay not everyone can spend that much on a phone... I've not had it even a full year.
