Repair information and guides for the iPhone 6S released by Apple on September 25, 2015. Models: A1688, A1633

Can I use iPhone 8 battery in iPhone 6s?

I'm aware the connection pins are bit different but size-wise they're identical, and plus you will get a bit more power, so why not?

Has anyone tried it? I'm also sick of waiting for iFixit's replacement batteries to be in stock in Europe. I've been waiting over a month and I can just buy a 7/8 one.

The voltage is the same, but the size might be be a problem, the iPhone's battery is designed to have some space for expansion, Installing a battery that only just fits might be dangerous. As for the connector: you can cut off the original connector of the old 6S battery at the nickel strips and try to spot weld it to the 8's battery nickel strips. Wouldn't recommend it though. There are some reliable iPhone battery suppliers in Europe apart from iFixit.

Sorry ;-{

The demand is high with Apple's replacement program stripping the suppliers.

Your only hope is if you have a friend here in the states who is on his way home he can carry it in this land luggage.

Battery's are rated differeny for those phones different voltage and capacity and connector if u even can force a connection like on the 6 and 6s u risk frying the board... DO NOT DO THIS
