What is this light pixel band on the edge

I've attached a photo below for viewing, But I'd like to know:

  1. What is this?
  2. How did it come about?
  3. How do I fix it
  4. What's the cost?

Thank you kindly =)

Have same problem on both right and left edge with a 27 Cinema LED Display. Completely goes away after running a little bit.

Clearly the LCD screen is having problems.

I haven't see this on a Cinema display but I have see this in the older iMac's. The LCD screens lamination is coming apart. You'll need a new 27" LED Cinema Display LCD panel - Apple P/N 661-5542
