I forgot my iPhone backup password, what can I do?
When I try to restore data from my iPhone 6s Plus backup, iTunes asks me to enter the password to unlock my backup. I remembered I indeed set password for my backup. But when I enter the password, iTunes says it was incorrect. I can't find out the right one, I forgot my iPhone backup password. What can I do? I don't want to reset the password by removing all settings on my phone and lose the backup. I need the backup! Help!

Have you tried the PIN code you used to lock the device with?

As far as I know, if you can’t remember the password for your encrypted backup, there is no way to recover your information or turn off Encrypt Backup in iTunes. It means that you CAN NOT restore data from THAT encrypted backup file.
But you can try some password recovery tool like TunesGeeker:

it offers 4 ways to recover your iTunes backup password.
