Looking on upgrading to SSD

I have iMac with last 2013 model 21.5 inch screen. Now I want to update my iMac with SSD. So as per your suggestion SATA SSD or M.2 SSD will be better for me?

If your up to it installing the Apple custom blade SSD is the best for performance over swapping out your current HD. Just keep in mind some of the 21.5" models don't have the SSD hardware (2012 models) so make sure you have this model. Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2638 SSD Replacement. Do be careful as you can damage the display quite easily if you don't use the correct tools and techniques outlined in the guide.

Yes my computer is compatible with SSD installation because I have already done for my one year older iMac.

Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E250BW 250 GB SATA 6.0 Gbps SSD

Samsung 850 EVO (MZ-N5E250BW)SATA 6.0 Gbps 250 GB SSD

From above two which is the good option for me?? Because price is almost similar, any advantage / disadvantage.

Thanks for your reply so quickly :)

@siddharth3322 - The drive you need is not one of these. Apple contracted with Samsung to make a custom blade drive to Apples specs it is similar to a M.2 drive but it's not the same!

If you want the best performance option you'll want the Apple SSD. Your other choice which you could do is swap out your current 2.5" SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) HDD for another 2.5" SATA III SSD. it will get you better performance but not as good as the custom Apple SSD (your first SSD in your list is a standard 2.5").

Thank you sir for all your above replies :) Now last 2 questions from my side.

Can you able to give me Apple comfortable SSD link??

Is this good to purchase? Because in terms of expense not too much
