I erased the HDD and reinstalled OS 10, applications and Classic Support from the original CDs. Now at every website I try to visit I get the error message that there is no valid or current security certificate. How do I update these certificates or bypass the checking for them? This happens for both Safari many MS Internet Explorer.

Sorry, both Apple & Microsoft have stopped supporting this older system & OS (anything newer than 10.5.8).
I should point out the internet is now based on newer standards that this system (web browser) don't know how to interact with.
You also put your self at risk as the level of security in quite low so you could be hacked or worse expose your information.
I would recommend you not use it on the internet and just use it to write and store your pictures.
Maybe its time to look at getting a newer system that is more secure and has better support.
