06 Lincoln Navigator rear stuck up in the air. Super bouncy. We tried turning off air suspension switch, that didn't work. Looked under car and air ride height sensor on left back side was disconnected - end came off the arm it slips on to. We also found it was very stiff and hard to move & we watched video that showed it should be loose and move easily. First thing we disconnected the battery and turned on the lights for a minute to drain all the power out of the system. Then we left the car sit for a half hour or so, then reconnected battery & went through the start-up procedure in the owner's manual and as we drove the car the rear end came down so we stopped and jumped out & accessed the air suspension switch in the rear driver's side panel and turned it OFF . . so at least we weren't jacked way high up in the air . . .then we ordered a new rear height sensor and installed it a few days later, turned the air suspension switch to ON - and that was our problem . . .the car is leveling fine again now!

Vaughn Jackson, Check the 1st link below and if problem not corrected may have to have system diagnosed at the dealer or good local shop and reset.

Height sensors may need to be adjusted/compensated at the same time needs to be done with a computer, you will have to take it to a Ford dealer or a good shop with proper equipment for this. There may be a diagnostic code held in the computer to tell what is at fault. Some of the auto parts suppliers offer free code reading like Pepboys, Nappa, Advanced auto parts, etc and some of the guys are very knowledgeable and may have seen the issue often and put you on the right track. Some times these places cannot retrieve all codes as can shops equipped with very expensive scan tools. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
