The Apple Watch Series 1 is a revamp of the original Apple Watch, announced September 7, 2016. Most of the parts are the same as the Series 2

Series 1 Screen Replacement?

Is there going to be a replacement guide of a series 1 apple watch? Is there anyone who has started one or attempted it yet?

We do have a IFIXIT guide for the Apple Watch! The only difference between the series is the display connectors.

Here you go: Apple Watch Screen Replacement

Enjoy!

Awesome, I'll look this. I did see this guide but I just didn't know what the difference, if any, would be between the two generation styles. I heard there was soldering involved with series 1? So just curious if that was true and if the screen could be interchanged between gen 1 and series 1

No, you can't use either of series 1 or 2 display with the original watch.

From what I've been lead to believe Apple uses the same parts for Series 1 and 2 (other than the logic board) and the original uses a different connector system than series 1 and 2 (three different watches).

I don't think anyone is working on anything but there are tons of users here so you never know. But if you willing to take the challenge YOU can try to make a guide which will help those who aren't brave enough to attempt it themselves. And it's broken anyway do you can't really make it worse. Also just as a tip, look at the guide for the Series 2 Watch to get a rough idea of what to heat up and do. I don't think apple changed these things a whole bunch.

Okay I'll do that. Not sure if I've got the how-to to make a how-to haha

Well it looks like dan has the better answer. But if you want to give it a shot go for it. That will help people so they dont have to end up like you and asking questions wating for responses. And it really isnt that hard, just take pics of what your doing step by step. Look at other guides for a guide on how to do that.
