Your system only has a SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) SATA port so you are limited on what you can use.
Seagate's documentation on their site is still a bit of a mess! The 2.5" Firecuda drives SSD cache size is only 8GB. I spoke with a Seagate person a few weeks ago as I was trying to get information on the older 32 GB SSHD of the drive which is no longer being made. I was also disappointed to learn the new Firecuda drives will no longer offer auto speed sense technology it is now a fixed SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) drive.
Sadly, the bottomline here this drive won't work in your system reliably. You'll need to get the older Seagate SSHD drive. Here's the spec sheet for the older line: Seagate Laptop SSHD. If you look across the two spec sheets you'll see the SATA interface line only offers SATA III in the Firecuda drive unlike the older drive which lists all three SATA speeds.
