Replace MacBook Pro hi-res display with a MacBook Pro regular display?
MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2010 A1286
I paid the extra $100 at the time to get the optional hi-res 1680x1050 display. That display is now broken and I would like to know if I can swap it out with a regular 1440x900 glossy display? The replacement display would be coming from an identical MacBook Pro minus the hi-res option.

If they both have the same A1286 and same year then you can swap the displays no problem. The LCD display connectors need to be the same of course.
