Why does my rice always burn?

My rice cooker has been burning my white rice every time I use it. What is causing this and can I fix it?

First, be sure that you are using the white rice button. Brown rice cooks much longer, so if you push the wrong button the longer cook-time could be causing your problem. However, if your rice is burning and you are pushing the correct "white rice" button, then you may have a bad thermostat. Please see guide for Heating Element/Thermostat replacement.
