correct hard to install in mini?
I am upgrading my standard hard drive with a samsung ssd 850, and at the same time want to add a second drive with more capacity. I purchased the Segate Backup Plus Slim and it looks like this drive is smaller than standard "laptop" hard drives. Will it still mount correctly on the bracket? My iFixit kit arrives shortly..
Update
I'll clarify. I've opened the case of the seagate backup plus slim with hopes that I can install it as a secondary drive opposite my ssd drive that will have Yosemite on it. Is it the right size or did I get the wrong size hard drive to install inside the mini?
Update
Its model number is samsung ST2000LM003
Update
Actually the usb port easily pulled off, exposing the SATA connection. It ended up installing fine. Interestingly this drive cost $87 while bare bones 2.5 in 2tb drives were around $150. So my final setup is using my 500gb stock mac mini drive as an external, and using a samsung evo ssd 1tb ($300) and the 2tb seagate as internal drives. Doesn't seem to get hotter than when there was one drive.

As long as its a 2.5 hard drive you should be fine and remember you want to wipe this hard drive clean .It will probably have seagates backup program for PC on it and that could cause issue in a mac
