The Apple Magic Mouse is a multi-touch mouse manufactured and sold by Apple Inc. It was announced and sold for the first time on October 20, 2009.

Dead Magic Mouse what can I do to fix it?

Bought a Magic mouse about a year ago and it worked really well, then suddenly there is no power light underneath and has just stopped working.

I have done the usual of checking the batteries and to my knowledge it has never been dropped!

What can i do to try and repair it?

Sadly, Apple doesn't offer any repair parts. So you'll need to find a junker to steal parts from.

Here's the IFIXIT teardown to help you on your exploratory surgery: Magic Mouse Teardown. If you jump to Step 11 you could checkout if the sider joints are OK on the battery contacts. Often the batteries leak and these get corroded.

If this is a bit much, I'm sure you can find a used one for about $30 ~ 50 US. A junker a lot less.
