Too much voltage - power adapter enough?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine is a soldier overseas and he plugged his N64 into a 220V outlet and it seems to have fried it. Is it worth buying a power adapter to see if thats all that got fried, or is it likely that the whole thing is fried?

Thanks!

aaronhillsamer, it could just be the power supply, but there is always the chance that it is further down the circuitry. Unless it gets open up and looked at, its all a guess. I'd start with the power supply since it is the most likely place.
