The dot on the clicker is worn out on my MacBook Unibody?

the trackpads on unibody macs have a little semi-transparent protrusion where the clicking switch is. sometimes they wear out however, and the metal coin-screw doesn't touch the clicker when you click on your trackpad.

Does anyone know how to replace it?

I have bad trackpads with the protrusions still intact. Should I transplant them, or is there another solution.

I'm trying to not buy a new trackpad needlessly.

You must be a heavy clicker ;-}

I don't know of any means to fix this other than putting in a new trackpad assembly.

Most people wear out the pad in the early models before Apple went to glass. Haven't encountered a worn out click plate that the adjustment screw couldn't fix.
