iPhone 5 front camera wont work after front screen replacement.
I run an iPhone repair business in the UK, so I do have a reasonable amount of experience with these devices and until iOS 7 came out I had no issues with this problem I am about to explain. A customer came into the store yesterday with a broken screen and power button on the iPhone 5. So I replaced the power button flex to fix the button and replaced the screen with an original part. But then when I turned the phone back on everything worked perfectly apart from the front camera. I have sent my customer away to restore the device and then Im sure he will be back if it doesnt work, but does anyone know a fix for this? (I am always extra careful when removing the digitizer and camera flex cables, and yes I have checked if its plugged in correctly three times.)

Guys, I have a question that has been bothering me ever since! My iphone 5 (black) has no front flash! Is it normal? I see other phones having flash infront of their camera, but mine has none. Please tell me it's normal

Well most ppl have snapchat and for the front facing camera it will flash the screen white similar to a flash so it's normal

I had the same problem, I removed again the battery connector, put it back and it works now.
