has anybody come up with a solution for this yet?

I am having the same issue, I have replaced the "iPhone 5 Front-Facing Camera and Sensor Cable Replacement" twice with no luck. I've also done a factory reset on the phone and looked for any damaged I've may had cause with no luck.
