How to replace headphone Jack.

Ive seen a similar problem that wasnt the case with my nano at this link to this site.

How do I replace my head phone jack?

I ordered a new headphone jack from apple that appears to also have the on/off or hold switch on the other end. There is a brown sort of wiring that connect the two (headphone jack and what looks to be the on/off or hold switch) that goes at the top left when your facing the unit. I Was just wondering after I completely remove the Logic Board will it be somewhat self explanitory to install the headphone jack? I have also read that the headphone jack is integrated into the logic board but the boards are like $100+ to replace. Is there a work around or is it time to toss my old nano? Thanks in advance and I couldn't find a definite answer on here.

Yeah the nano's are pretty hard to work on. The headphone jack is soldered to the logic board. Unless you know how to solder its better to just get a new nano!

the pic is a close up of the logic board where you can see how everything is soldered on.
