How do I replace my head phone jack?

I Have replaced the headphones, and no matter what I connect it too it does this same thing.

I will get either no sound or sound only from the right ear. If I wiggle the jack then I will get sound sometimes in the left, and if I hit it just right and don't move it I will have sound in both ears.

Please Help!

it is possible that there is a lint inside the headphone jack

but one of the soldering could also be weak - look at step 7 - there are 4 contacts - you need a soldering iron to fix this - resolder the 4 contacts and if you are lucky - it will work - if not - you have to change the headphone jack
