Hi there Dillon

Im assuming that the battery was flat, and you attached a battery charger to the battery.

Depending on how long you 'charged' the battery, you probably killed it.

As you can imagine, batteries dont like it so much if you reverse polarity, and all the plates in the battery are probably bent, and the battery will have to be disposed of (responsibly) and a new battery bought for the bike. Also, the charger might also be damaged.

The bike may also be damaged, as you reversed the polarity on the bikes electric system too (im assuming you attached the charger to the battery whilst it was in the bike...this should not be done, always charge a car/bike battery outside the vehicle, in a well ventilated area away from sources of heat/ignition. batteries have been known to explode whilst on trickle charge).

My suggestion, would be to check all the fuses on the bike, and replace the battery. if this doesnt help, then you may well need some professional help, so take it to an auto-electrician or mechanic.

I hope this helps

Regards

Ian
