How do I clean up scratches on my MacBook Pro?

I have a Unibody MacBook Pro, and I generally keep very good care of it. However, it has received a pretty obvious scratch on the top of the casing. Is there any way to buff out the scratch, or otherwise polish/abrase it away?

Have you tried car polish?

Try some car swirl remover

sometimes a good waxing will hide small scratches

A friend of mine is a tattoo artist she engraved the top with an awl and some magic markers for color and then covered it up with some spray lacquer. It really looked good and very unique!

If none of machead's suggestions work you can cover it up with a skin.
