Trackpad and keyboard not working even after disconnecting LAS

I'm working on a macbook for a friend, and as far as I'm aware there was no liquid damage or anything, but the trackpad and keyboard are not working. I already have a nerd.tool.1 for another thing I was working on, and it is reporting the LAS as open even when the lid is closed.

I'm working on a macbook for a friend, and as far as I'm aware there was no liquid damage or anything, but the trackpad and keyboard are not working. I already have a nerd.tool.1 for another thing I was working on, and it is reporting the lid angle sensor (LAS) as open even when the lid is closed.
If this was an issue with the LAS though, I would assume the keyboard and trackpad would start working after disconnecting it, though they still have no response. No click on the trackpad, no keyboard input.
Could it still be the lid angle sensor even if the problem remains after disconnecting it?
