Hi there,
I'm looking for answers regarding the new Samsung 860 EVO 500 GB 2.5” SATA III SSD compatibility? Does anyone out there try to install this new internal hard drive to an old late 2011 MacBook Pro?
I assume I'll need an upgrade hard drive cable like the one who installed the 850 EVO but what else should I know to upgrade my laptop to an SSD internal drive?

So I want to buy mid-2010 white unibody MacBook and I want to upgrade it a lot.

So I mainly want to upgrade to SSD and I wanna upgrade my RAM, I don’t even know if anything else is upgradable.

So my first question is, for a 2010 MacBook, can I upgrade the Core 2 Duo an Core i7 chip? And is it possible to upgrade the graphics card?

Also, I want to get an optical drive adapter aka a data doubler so I can have 2 SSD’s. So my next questions are, to upgrade the HDD to an SSD in a white 2010 MacBook, do I need to change the SATA cable to a newer one? And for the optical drive adapter SSD, do I also need a newer SATA cable?

So what I want to do is either run raid SSD’s or have one 4 TB Samsung 860 EVO specifically for macOS and I’ll have another 2 TB SSD for Windows.

Is 6 TB of total storage possible for a 2010 white unibody MacBook? If it’s not, would I be better getting a 2010 MacBook with intel core i7 already in it to fit 6 terabytes of SSD storage.

Also do you know how to run windows and Mac on a separate SSD? I think it’s possible but I’m not sure how to do it.
