Ionvac runs backward, in other words, as soon as it is out of the charging station, it backs around the room. pressing the directional keys on the remove has little to no effect. ideas?
WEL - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hi WEL,
The vacuum moves backwards when the bumper is pressed. In the event that the bumper is stuck compressed, it will override any directional inputs from the remote and continuously move backwards. This is a common problem with this vacuum and is usually resolved by slightly loosening the tight screws below the rim (refer to our Logic Board guide, Step 6.) For some reason, when the rims on the bumper are too tightly screwed, it interferes with the bumper's ability to pop back out. Loosening their screws slightly will allow the bumper to bounce again.

SIDE BRUSH ERROR FIX:
If the machine is throwing the side brush error and one or both side brushes have stopped spinning after having been cleared and can spin smoothly by hand, they may not need to be replaced immediately or at all.
1. Follow steps 1-5 of this guide:
ionvac SmartClean V2 Side Brush Motors Replacement
6. Disconnect one of the side brush motors from the circuit board.
7. Without replacing screws, replace main housing, switch power ON, flip unit over, and place on floor, and start unit to test.
8. If the unit continues to throw the error, gently flip it over, turn it off, remove the main housing, and re-connect the brush motor and disconnect the OTHER side brush motor.
9. If unit runs without throwing the error after step 7 or 8, stop the unit, gently flip it over, turn it off, remove the main housing, and re-connect the brush motor. This can 'restart' the brush motor that is throwing the error.
10. Unit can run with either or both motors disconnected if necessary.

Radar sensor is blocked
Amber - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hi Amber! Please gently clean the radar sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure no dust or debris is obstructing it. The iFixit website has handy tools to get rid of tiny particles that may be stuck in tight spaces and can cause navigation issues. Inspect the sensor for visible damage, meaning it will have to be replaced, and, lastly try resetting the vacuum by turning it off, removing the battery, holding down the power button for about 20 seconds, and then reinserting the battery before turning the vacuum back on. Hope this helps!

Ionvac won't dock. There are no obstructions blocking it. It goes in front of the charging station and just spins and rolls away from it and eventually dies. I have to manually put it on the charger.
roz jor - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hello, please make sure the charging contacts on both the ionvac and the charging dock are clean. Use a dry cloth to wipe away any dust or debris. You can also make sure the dock is placed on a flat, hard surface. If that doesn't work try resetting the ionvac by turning it off, removing the battery, holding down the power button for about 20 seconds, and then reinserting the battery and turning it back on. If you use the app, you may be able to recalibrate the mapping settings to help it dock more accurately. Hope this helps!

Mine hardly ever finds its way back home, it used to but one problem is that if it was taking too long bumping around in other rooms after cleaning my husband would pick it up and put it on the charger even tho I said that’s not going to help but only confuse it…. It gradually got to the point that it never goes back… I plan on moving the base to a better location but how can I kinda reset it so it forgets all that & starts mapping our house for the new location? Or should I even & just let it re-learn? Sounds like it would create a lot of conflicting info tho… thanks!

when I press the button the dust bin wont come out
linn saffer - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hi linn! You may have to check for obstructions, iFixit has tools available to clean out any debris that can get lodged and prevent the bin from releasing. You may also clean the release mechanism with a dry cloth or a small brush to clean around the release button and the edges of the dustbin. If neither of these solutions work, please inspect the release button for any damage and reset the vacuum by turning it off, removing the battery, holding down the power button for about 20 seconds, and then reinserting the battery and turning it back on. Hope this helps!

Mine is not sucking. It will suck minor dust, but anything like animal hair or other debris that other vacuums would pick up it catches on the rolling brush but does not suck into the bin.
Bryan - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hi Bryan! Please check out the "Brushes Do Not Collect Debris" section above, inspecting and cleaning the filters, brush roll, dustbin, etc., and ensure all parts of the vacuum are properly assembled and securely in place. Sometimes a loose connection can cause a loss of suction. Finally, test the vacuum on different surfaces to see if the issue persists. Hope this helps!

The bace is cloged!!!
Nicole - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Hi Nicole! I think you're talking about the base. If so, turn off and unplug the vacuum, inspect the intake area, dust bin, filters, and brush rolls for any visible blockages using a flashlight to remove debris. The iFixit website has tools that would be very handy to remove such debris. Please check out our troubleshooting guides for step-by-step instructions to disassemble the ionvac if necessary. Hope this helps!

Main brush won't rotate
chriskrueger60@gmail.com - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Mine suddenly stopped suctioning at all. I've checked the mode, it's not on "off" or Eco or anything. All the brushes are completely cleaned out, everything is connected properly and it's charging, connecting to the internet, everything just fine. It just randomly stopped using the "vacuum" part. All brushes are still spinning properly.
