Failure to Turn On
ZTE does not respond to the touch and displays the "no battery" icon.
ZTE is Not Charged
The ZTE has a 20 hour battery life during normal use and a 300 hour-long battery life in standby mode. The ZTE comes with charging dock and a micro USB battery charger from the factory. Place your ZTE on its charging dock or plug it into the factory charger and it should charge within 2-3 hours.
Charger is Faulty
The problem may not be with the ZTE, but perhaps with the charging methods themselves: the dock or cord. In order to verify charging cord functions, try charging a different device with the same charging cord you used with the ZTE. If the cord cannot charge your other device, it is most likely faulty and a new one should be purchased.
Battery is Faulty
Place our ZTE onto its charging port, or plug it into a charging cord that you know works. If the ZTE still does not charge, this is a sign of a faulty battery and the battery will require replacement.
Unresponsive Screen
The ZTE does not respond to touch or is frozen; display remains the same.
Screen is Dirty
The ZTE uses a capacitive screen type which means the screen does not use the pressure of your finger to change the flow of electricity. Instead, it uses materials like copper to react with anything that carries an electrical charge (this includes human skin). Cleaning the screen would increase the contact between your finger and the copper like material making for a more responsive experience.
Battery Life is Low
It is possible the ZTE will not respond if the battery is too low. Plug in and recharge your device before retesting to see if the screen becomes responsive.
ZTE Requires a Restart
Sometimes all a machine needs is a good restart to get it functioning like it is supposed to. Unplug your ZTE if it is currently charging and restart the device by holding the button until the screen is black. Once this is done turn the device back on and your reset is done!
Failure to Connect to the Internet
Wi-Fi symbol does not appear.
Wifi is Not Enabled
Verify that the ZTE's wireless connection setting is enabled.
Router and/or Modem Issues
If you still cannot connect to Wifi, you may be experiencing problems with your router and/or modem. First turn off the ZTE, then turn off your router and/or modem. After 30 seconds, turn your router and/or modem back on, and attempt to connect through your ZTE. If you still cannot connect, there may be issues with your service provider.
Short Battery Life
Tablet has a shorter life span or dies at boot up.
Battery Life
If the tablet has not been charged, you might be experiencing short battery life from the tablet. To fix this problem, plug in the power charger provided by ZTE and wait for the tablet to fully recharge. If after fully charging the battery, your device still experiences a short life span, replacement might be required in order to restore your device to its full functioning capacity.
Frozen/Locked Device or Slow Response Times
Your device is unresponsive to input, is locked (i.e. you cannot remember your ZTE Passcode), or it is running uncharacteristically slow.
Factory Reset
If your ZTE device fails to respond to inputs from the touchscreen or the power and/or volume buttons, then it may be frozen. Additionally, your device may have become prevented from accessing your device due to incorrectly entering your passcode too many times. Lastly, your device may be experiencing uncharacteristically slow response times to inputs. These issues may be remedied by wiping all user data from the tablet and returning it to its factory state.
Note: By completing a factory reset, all device content will be deleted and become unrecoverable. If you wish to save any data from your ZTE, it is critical that you transfer that data onto another device prior to initiating a factory reset.
