Sanyo RL-4920 Won't Turn on Completely
Power button doesn't turn on the Screen. Begins to load but restarts or shuts down before loading process completes.
Software is stalling the power up
1. Press and hold the Power key to turn Sanyo off.
2. Remove the battery.
3. After 30 seconds, reinsert the battery.
4. Press and hold the Power key to turn Sanyo back on.
The phone is not fully charged
1. Connect your Sanyo to a charger.
2. While charging, verify the charging indicator displays.
3. If the indicator doesn't display, the battery or charger may need replacing.
Battery Life Issues
Battery consistently displays low charge. Battery drains quickly.
Power settings are not optimal
Change setting in phone.
The battery is damaged
1. Press and hold the Power button to turn off the Sanyo.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Inspect the battery to be sure it's not overheating, swollen, or damaged.
4. If the battery appears damaged, replace the battery.
Phone Produces an Echo When Talking
Whenever the phone is used to call someone, an echo is heard in the speakers.
Issue with service provider
This issue is often caused by the network company itself. Certain regions may have unusual service demands and could result in an echo. Contact your Sprint provider to see if this is the case.
Speaker is broken
1. Open phone to gain access to the speaker.
2. Replace speaker (guide).
Phone Automatically powering off
When using the Spring Sanyo SCP-12LBP it powers off by itself.
The battery is not fully charged
1. Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
2. Check the battery charge indicator in the top corner of the phone screen.
The battery needs to be reset
Take the battery out from the phone and place the battery back in after fifteen seconds.
Issue with service provider
If you are using Sanyo or Sprint accessories, check to see if the warranty can replace the charger or phone.
The Spring Sanyo does not consistently ring
When receiving calls, the phone does not always ring.
Issue with service provider
If the phone goes straight to voicemail with proper signal strength, you may need to contact your provider. They can reset your voicemail.
Headset is not working properly
If a headset is attached, the ringing may be through the headset. Detach the headset in order to hear the ringing aloud.
Phone settings are not optimal
Check the phone settings to see if the phone is on silent or vibrate. You can access the settings by going to Menu>Settings>Sounds. Deselect silent and change the settings to "normal".
Sprint Sanyo RL-4920 is not responding to user input.
When attempting to use the phone, the phone does not appear to respond to user input through keypad.
Phone software may have frozen.
Perform a soft reset of the phone.
1. Press and hold the Power key to turn Sanyo off
2. Remove the battery.

Phone keypad may be damaged
The keypad to the phone may be damaged or have a loose connection.
1. Open phone to gain access to the keypad
2. Replace keypad (guide).
Display does not work correctly
When using the phone, the display appears to flicker or has lines going across it
Phone software may be causing the issue.
Perform a soft reset of the phone.

Display may be damaged
The display may be damaged or have a loose connection.
