- Excessive residue ***
You should check the cleaning pad if it is dusty or grimy. If this is the case, you should flip the pad or replace it with as proper clean one. I have talked to Two people today after 4 or so minutes there gone and you ask me to do a survey. Can’t give an honest reply when you leave me hang , wait for options to repair my machine. Model # S3501C 13
Tank is full , bottom is warm but will not inject any steam at mop head. The pump seams to be creating some pressure but no steam is coming out.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m having the same exact issue, did you ever find out the cause? Thanks!

Did anyone have a solution?

I've had a cleaning company for over 20 years and I mainly use Shark products.
It sounds like there is a buildup of limescale on the Jets/water tubing. This can be caused by not using bottled water. It can most often be fixed by running white distilled vinegar through the tank. It descales the Jets and tubing and prevents build up. It's the best preventive maintenance you can use. If the build-up is too thick this may not fix it. I run a vinegar & water mixture in the tank when steaming. White vinegar is a natural antimicrobial so there are several advantages to using it. I hope this helps.

I've only just bought my mop, refurbished by Ebay. So I expect it to work OK. However it does not produce steam. I have soft water.
Surely it would have been tested before issue?
It will be really hard to send back as the handle won't come off once it's attached. Unless anyone knows different?

Same here! My mop will not turn on. I have plugged it into a different wall socket. Charged it all day. It still won’t work. I have put a clean pad on it. Filled the tank. It still won’t work. I have used it 2 times. More than frustrated.

Yes - not cheap … using as a regular mop. I didn’t spend almost 200 for this massive fail.

My shark genius is not producing steam. The light is on the back of the steamer gets warm but it is not producing steam at all. This is frustrating and the second one I have bought in less then a year for my buisness. This is unacceptable on all levels I need for a representative to respond and help with this situation ASAP !

My shark steam and scrub isn’t producing steam please HELPPPPPPP!!!
Cheryl White - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
My shark steam mop wouldn't spray the cleaner 1st, then stopped producing steam.
I did realize while carefully looking at the mop that there were batteries...so I replaced them and it squirts.
I did everything it says in all these posts and still no steam. I looked in the water tank and noticed a tube going to the bottom. I pulled it out. It has a ball on the end with a pinhole. I disconnected the ball...looked carefully and discovered what I can describe as a 2 " silicone looking worm in it. I was amazed as I always use distilled water and vinegar. Once getting that worm like thing out of the line and reconnecting it now produces steam! Too bad the easiest fix was the last one I tried...
Now to put the head back together!
