Sennheiser Momentum Wireless M2 AEBT Troubleshooting
Headphones not charging
Headphones remain dead after connecting to charging cable.
Empty Battery
The headphones may not charge if not given the recommend time of three hours to complete the full cycle, especially directly after purchasing. Make sure to allow the headphones to complete the full charging cycle of three hours. Connect the supplied USB cable and if the LED indicators show no change consider purchasing a new adapter with an output rating of at least 500mA.
Broken Battery
After the three hours if the headphones show no sign of charging, then the battery may be faulty. Contact or visit an authorized Sennheiser service center to replace the battery.
Headphones won’t power on
The headphones don't turn on after pressing the power button. There is no voice prompt or LED flash visible.
Power Button is Not Pressed Correctly
The headphones may be turned off. Locate the power button on the side of the headphones, above the volume dial. Press firmly and hold for two seconds. After pressing the power button, the user should see LED flash or hear voice prompt "power on."
Power Not Transferring
Reset the electronics: Disconnect the transmitter from the power and audio sources and remove the batteries from the headset. Leave the system disconnected for 15 minutes. Sometimes, moisture can ruin the power button and the connection between the button and the motherboard. You can fix this by using an aux cable or a silica gel pack in between the muff and the microphone.
Headphones won’t stay tightly adjusted
The headphones are loose and fall off if there is too much motion.
Sliding Mechanism Needs to be Adjusted
The headphones have a slider which adjusts the tightness and could be set too loose. Locate the sliding mechanism on either earmuff. Move the slider up or down until the headphones fit securely onto head.
Weird noise in left earmuff
Device produces unwanted static/humming noise through one of the earmuffs.
Water Droplets
Water can build up under the earmuff from condensation or other sources such as rain and begin to cause a static noise. Remove the earmuff and check for any water droplets. Dry off any condensation around the screws. If noises continue, try inserting a small bag of silica gel behind the muff.
Faulty Microphone
After checking for water, if the noise continues it could be due to the microphone located inside the earmuff. When the noise starts, remove the headphones and gently rub the inside to feel the protruding microphone. Softly rub the microphone after finding it and return to wearing them.
Headphones won't pair via Bluetooth
Headphones are unable to connect to devices for audio.
Bluetooth Not Paired by User Properly
For this procedure, ensure your headphones are within 20 cm of your smartphone.
Restart the headphones by pressing the power button and keeping it pressed until you hear "power on" and "pairing", as the LED light flashes blue and red.
From your smartphone settings, go to bluetooth and search for "MOMENTUM M2 AEBT" from the list of bluetooth devices.
In case a default PIN code is needed, enter "0000".
A voice prompt will announce "connected" and the LED light will turn off if pairing was successful.
Faulty Bluetooth
As Sennheiser has been known to have an issue with their bluetooth not connecting to the correct device, this issue can be fixed by plugging in a wire. A lot of users fixed this by connecting an aux cable from their headphones to the last device they connected to, even if it wasn't the device you want to connect to. As the headphones are plugged in, you can unplug the cable from the headphones and they should stay connected.

Please add how to clear the pairing settings on the M2 AEBTs, as this can resolve many bluetooth related issues.
Clearing the pairing settings are done, per the official M2 AEBT manual, as following:
1. Switch the headphones off. Press the power button and keep it pressed until you hear the voice prompts "power on", followed by "pairing" and the LED flashes blue and red. The headphones is now in pairing mode.
2. Simultaneously press the 3-way multi-function button and the power button for 3 seconds.
The LED flashes 3 times purple and the headphones change to pairing mode.
The pairing settings are now cleared from the headphones.
This may cover many sins.
