Device Will Not Power On
Device is unresponsive even after being plugged into a power source such as a wall outlet via the power adapter
Faulty Charger
Make sure the power adapter is inserted completely into the charging port by applying gentle pressure on the connection. When the connection is secure, make sure the charging light on the tablet comes on. If the light does not turn on, and the adapter is plugged in, then the adapter is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.
Faulty Battery
Make sure the power adapter is inserted completely into the charging port by applying gentle pressure on the connection. When the connection is secure, make sure the charging light on the tablet comes on. If the light turns on and the tablet only powers up when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of charging time, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.
Faulty Motherboard
If the Samsung View refuses to power on and remains otherwise completely unresponsive after all other steps failed, try replacing the motherboard using this guide.
Physical Damage
Device has been dropped or has received external damage
Broken Kickstand
If the kickstand on the back of the tablet has been damaged, replace the kickstand using this guide.
Water Damage
If a large amount of water is dropped on the device or if the device is accidentally submerged in water, there is still hope for a home solution. Make sure the device is completely turned off. Then follow this guide to remove the battery from the device without following the reassembling step. It is important to have the battery completely removed for the safety of both you and the device. After the battery is removed, take a damp piece of cloth with 90% isopropyl alcohol and dab all of the internal components of the device without any rubbing motion. Avoiding rubbing with the cloth is especially important so that residual fibers aren't left over in the components. Let your device sit for two hours before reassembling so the alcohol can evaporate the water. You will need to replace the old battery with a brand-new one.
Audio is Distorted
Trouble listening to sounds on the tablet
Loose Headphone Jack
Test the audio through the tablet's speakers, and then test it using headphones. If the audio is only distorted while listening using headphones, then the audio jack or the headphones themselves may be faulty. Audio that cuts in and out is often a sign of a loose audio jack, so make sure the audio jack from the headphone is fully inserted into the tablet's audio port.
Faulty Speakers
Test audio through the tablet's speakers, then test it using headphones. If the audio is only distorted or absent when listening through the speakers, then the speakers themselves may need replacing. Replace the speakers using this guide.
Buttons Not Responding
The power or sound buttons on the side of the device are not responding
Sticky Buttons
When the power or sound buttons can't be pressed, or are stuck down, there may be something beneath the physical button causing it to malfunction. Replace the power and volume buttons using this guide.
Front-facing Camera Not Working
The camera on the front of the device is taking blurry pictures, or no pictures at all
The Samsung View Needs a Restart
Restarting the tablet is a great solution for it to regain full-functionality. Unplug your Samsung View if it is currently charging and reboot your device by holding the power button on the top of the device for 30 seconds.
Camera is Broken
Turn the device on and access the pre-installed camera application. If the image is distorted or black, try replacing the camera using this guide.

Make a new user account. I had this problem in hotels, especial with their wifi connections. When I made a new account I would get the ability to agree to the restrictions to get on to their network. For some reason on my main account it would never put this up to allow for connection. Not sure this is the same opportunity but it may help others. After you get connected, go to Settings and then user and pick your normal account. All should work now. You may have to do this every time or even once daily because some hotels purge and require re-activation.

Where do you go to set up a new user account? I am at a hotel ans it says I am connected to their wi fi with a very strong signal, but it won't let me use apps like Netflix.

I have 2 of these machines and I absolutely love them….but both have the same problem now… they drop apps and go back to the main android screen (the opening screen with the clock and app buttons). I used to play Summoners War on them and it will now kick me off anytime it wants. It also will lock up in eBay and other applications. Both machines will almost like pause/flicker and then resume… I have reset one back to factory settings and it did nothing to fix the problem. My grandkids can use it for some videos, but even here it will kick-out. Before all these evens occurred I remember both machines being very warm on the power plug in side. I almost think something over heated and now is not operating correctly. Is this fixable and what can be done to prevent it from re-occurring. Also does anyone know if I will have issues with a Ipad Pro 12.9….because I may have to go to that. Thanks all.
