Device Will Not Turn On Or Light Up
Your Ring Stick Up Cam Battery will not turn on or show any sign of powering up.
Battery is Not Charged
The battery may not be sufficiently charged or the wrong charging equipment is being used. Use the appropriate micro-USB charging cable and a working outlet. Leave the battery plugged in for a substantial period of time before inserting it into the device.
Battery is Not Inserted Properly
The battery is not placed in the slot in the correct orientation. Ensure that the battery is facing the right direction prior to inserting it into the device. First, insert the battery with the top of the silver release lever facing up and toward the outside of the device. Then, insert the battery until it locks in. If your battery is charged and inserted correctly and the device still will not turn on, the battery may be damaged or faulty.
Battery is Damaged or Faulty
Be sure that your quick-release battery pack has not been used outside of appropriate operating conditions: -5°F to 120°F (-20.5°C to 48.5°C). If your battery is fully charged, has not been used outside of operating conditions, and the device is still not turning on, your battery pack may be damaged or faulty. In this case, you may need a replacement battery.
The Battery Fails to Charge
The quick-release battery pack will not charge even after being plugged in for a substantial period of time.
Battery is Not Plugged in Properly
Your quick-release battery may not be plugged in correctly. Make sure you are using a micro-USB cable and that it is plugged into a properly working outlet.
Battery Port is Damaged or Faulty
If you have the correct micro-USB cable and the battery is still not charging, the charging port may be damaged or faulty. Check to ensure the port has no structural damage from repeated plug-in attempts.
Charger is Damaged or Faulty
If your quick-release battery is not charging, the charger may be damaged or faulty. Check your micro-USB charger for signs of fraying and other damage. In this case, your micro-USB may need to be replaced.
Camera Footage is Not Streaming to Ring App
The footage does not appear or it displays a black screen. The ring app may alert you that there was a failure to connect to the camera.
User is Not Logged into Ring App
If you are not logged in your video will not be displayed. Use the username and password associated with the Ring camera setup.
Camera is Dirty or Obscured
Check the front of your Ring camera to ensure there is nothing physically blocking the camera. If it appears dirty take a technology-safe alcohol wipe to clean the lens.
Camera is Damaged or Faulty
If the above reasons are not the cause of your camera footage failure, your camera may have been damaged or faulty. In this case, your camera might need to be replaced.
Audio is Not Present or Distorted When Viewing the Stream in Ring App
Your Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is on and appears to be working, but when you turn on the audio and/or speaker in the app, the audio is not present or distorted.
Connection to Ring App / Cell Service / Current Wifi Connection is poor
If your connection to the Ring app is not secure, the audio may cause glitches in the streaming service. Make sure your connection is stable and your wifi router is on and in proximity to you.
Microphone/Speakers are Being Obscured from the Room or Something is Blocking / Muffling Sound
Check to ensure that your wall or furniture does not block the microphone. Make sure it has not been clogged or blocked in any way.
The Device Will Not Connect to the Internet
Your Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is on and appears to be working, but will not connect to the internet.
The WiFi Connection is Not Compatible
Check your WiFi router and Ring Camera information to ensure that they are compatible to connect.
WiFi Connection Nearly Connects Then Fails
Try a different source of WiFi or connection (coffee shop, parent’s house). If it works elsewhere, try to compare your service to the one that was compatible with your Ring camera.

Still does not work. My batteries work in other ring cameras, but my spotlight camera does not turn on, one battery side in the camera lights up red when the battery is in, but will not register as on, cannot reset.
