If your Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro isn’t detected, disconnects when moved, or works only intermittently when connected via USB-C, then follow these steps to fix the wired connection.
Faulty or Worn USB Cable
Swapping to a known-good USB-C data cable can restore the connection. Wiggle-sensitive behavior strongly suggests an internal cable break near the strain relief.
- Try a different USB-C data cable.
- Test multiple USB ports on the computer.
- If wiggling the plug causes disconnects, replace the cable.
Debris or Slightly Loose USB-C Port
Lint or wear on the USB port can prevent a firm connection.
- Inspect the mouse’s USB-C receptacle.
- Gently remove lint with a wooden/plastic pick. Do not bend the port pins.
- If the port feels loose or only holds certain cables, the port may need board-level repair or replacement.
- To replace the USB port, follow our guide here.
Outdated Firmware or Driver/Software Conflict
Connection issues have been addressed in firmware updates. Some users fix disconnect loops by fully reinstalling the Razer software and updating firmware.
- Update the mouse using the official firmware updater (USB connected).
In Synapse, “Check for Updates.” If problems persist, uninstall all Razer software, reboot, then reinstall Synapse and reapply updates.
