The Controller Will Not Turn On
The controller will not power on.
Batteries Missing
Your controller requires two AA batteries. You may need to insert them in the pack located on the back of the controller in order to turn on.
Low Batteries
Your batteries in the controller may be too low or drained for the controller to turn on. You may need to replace your batteries.

Controller Will Not Sync to Device
The controller will not connect to the gaming console properly.
Missing Wireless Pairing Process
The first time you connect the controller to your console you need to follow the “Wireless Pairing” instructions on the PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller User Manual: “From the HOME Menu, select ‘Controllers,’ then ‘Change Grip and Order.’ While the following screen is displayed, press and hold down the SYNC button for at least one second on the Controller you wish to pair.” The device will auto-connect after this initial process.
Possible Update Required
The Nintendo system requires an updated system version of 6.0.1 or later in order to successfully pair with the controller. Make sure your gaming system is up to date before attempting to connect.
Faulty Batteries
Your AA batteries may be low and causing poor connection between the controller and console. Try replacing your batteries and making sure they are inserted properly.
Out of Range
You may be too far from the system for the Bluetooth connection to sync with the controller. Try moving closer to the console and make sure the sensor is not obstructed by anything.

Is there a repair for the ZR and ZL triggers not responding?
David Roper Jr. - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I also have a controller with an unresponsive ZR button. I read on another post that taking it apart and cleaning the electronic contact under the button can sometimes solve the issue.. I haven’t tried it yet, but will update this thread when I do.
D V -
Did you ever get an update on this? My ZL and program button does not work as well sadly.
Benny Rodriguez -
I took my word controller apart and but it back together again without really doing anything (it was pretty clean already) and it just started working again. Not sure if that'll work for everyone, or even for the wireless controller, but it worked for me.
No need to worry either, comes apart easily and goes back together just as easily. Felt good “repairing" my kit
Will Thomas -
UPDATE: Actually, this seems to have been more of a temporary fix. Not long before my ZL button isn't responding again. I guess I'll stick with official controllers, since a lot of people seem to have this issue with these controllers
Will Thomas -
If you can’t get your Power A Enhanced Wireless Controller to pair with your Nintendo Switch, try restarting your Nintendo Switch. As soon as I restarted my Switch, the controller pair instantly when following the pairing instructions provided with the controller. Hope this helps.

My batteries will be dead in one day with this controller and it leaves this oranges residue. What’s up with that?
Riley Smith - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
My PowerA controller (1510838-01) does no longer show any sign of life even though I tried lots of different batteries. My controller suddenly shut down so I removed the batteries put in new ones but they didn’t work so I tried new ones which didn’t give me any different result.

I have one, with fresh batteries, that keeps turning off after a few seconds & I have to turn it back on.

I have a controller that has certain buttons that don’t work (X, +, ZL, and ↑). How do I troubleshoot this?
Req3um - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I can assign my right programmable button but not my left one. My controller is treating it as if it's the same as one of my normal button and continues to only register as d-pad right.

Good Morning.
I started to experience an issue with my Animal Crossing Wireless version PowerA controller in the last few days. Up to a few days ago, it worked flawlessly but now it does not get recognised by the Switch and can not Sync it.
I have tried to Sync it with 2 regular Switches and a Switch Lite as well. Changed batteries, updated the systems to latest version as well.
Other controllers, including Pro Controllers Syncs and works just fine.
Would you be so kind to give me adive what steps to take next?
Kind regards
Balazs

I also have the same issue with the same controller, I was wondering if there was a fix.

My PowerA Wireless Gamecube controller will work on my pc with steam, but is no longer recognized by my Nintendo Switch. Have tried the steps to change grip/sync controller but get nowhere. Anyone have any idea what else I can try? System is up to date and I have changed batteries multiple times. I have deleted the control from my pc to see if that helped but no… the control will only work on my pc. Help!!!!

Mine won't sync to my new switch. But works with my old one still.

My powerA switch controller ZR button works until I hold down ZL, then it takes at least 5 seconds to register my input
Ash Benjamin - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
when I plug in the controller it won’t allow me to connect to my switch. any solutions? I’d prefer to not have to plug it into a wall outlet for convenience.
Dylan B - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
I have a wired powerA controller and a wireless one. Both do not work period. It's like after a while of not using them they just die and can't be used again. I have no idea what else to do since nothing on this list has corrected the problem. So I think it's a good idea to just buy official Nintendo Pro controllers from now on since PowerA is literal trash. What a waste of money.
Yekim - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
anyone press L button and it takes a picture? For some reason the L button takes a picture at the same time as what the L button is used for so if those two things and I can’t figure this out

Hello my name is Quinterin Forbes. I have a switch lite, and my enhanced controller works for all my other games except WRC 9. I restarted my game, unpaired the controller, and paired it again. Still didn’t work. When I connect it it connects for about 2 seconds and comes off. It ain’t dead. I just want to know why it keeps doing that.
Quinterin Forbes - crwdns2934203:0crwdne2934203:0
Can't connect the Power A controller the one with 4 paddles strike pack to my android phone. It's connects via Bluetooth but on the controller it looks like it's still trying to pair. Like the green lights are still flashing. And when i try to play games on my phone with it it's either super super delayed or don't work.
